The New Split Personalities

The second installment to Dj Chachi‘s Split Personalities series has just been released!
It picks up right where Volume 1 left off, flowing for two hours of Chachi at his finest. The first Split Personalities earned a place in my personal Mix Hall of Fame, and Volume 2 is quickly doing the same.
Over the past month, Chachi has leaked eight teaser tracks to get everyone excited for the full release.
Chachi’s open-format music style knows no boundaries, and neither does his travel schedule. With performances scheduled at Opium Mar in Barcelona and Gilda in Rome later this month, he’s wasting no time shaking up the new year.
The new CD has become a yearly tradition, as Chachi explains:
For the last 5 years, each holiday season I have created a mix dedicated to the year in music. Last year, I titled my mix “Split Personalities” which encompassed the way I’d been performing at all my shows. This year I’m returning with Split Personalities 2. Same great music, same great energy, really hope you enjoy.
Be sure to share the mix and spread good music!

Keeping Up With Dj Chachi
October 5, 2010 – San Francisco, CA
Chachi is no longer New York City’s best kept secret. His Birthday Tour has brought him to cities all across the country, but Chachi has never been a stranger to living at 35,000 feet. At this point in the game, I feel like he must have an immunity to jetlag and fatigue. I doubt his ears even bother to pop during takeoff and landing.
I caught up with Chachi at his celebration in San Francisco’s Infusion Lounge. Anyone who follows his twitter knows he’s a huge fan of California – and now I see why. Infusion Lounge is in the heart of a city populated by people who love life and everything around them. The environment at the club was great – it was obvious that the crowd, dancers, and bartenders all enjoyed Chachi’s performance. When Dj E-Rock announced that Chachi had traveled all the way from NYC to celebrate his birthday with them, the crowd erupted in cheer.
When I asked Chachi what changed the most this year, he pointed out that things really hadn’t changed that much – and in his case, that’s a really good thing. He’s avoided any kind of slow-season, expanded his performances to the West Coast and Canada, and continues to benefit from his snowballing popularity.
Chachi’s website has also evolved, with guest bloggers whose backgrounds range from other deejays to students at New York City’s Fashion Institute. The diversity of Team Chachi increases the entire scope of his fanbase, with post topics ranging from Chiddy Bang to Fashion Week to the new Bentley model.
Most deejays scramble to put out as much content as possible, but Chachi holds his sound to higher standards. Earlier this year, he introduced us to his original CD compilations: Split Personalities, Lactose Intolerance, and Love At First Beat.
Chachi just announced that Volume 2 of his Lactose Intolerance and Love At First Beat will be coming out this fall, satisfying the musical needs of his electro, pop, house, and alternative fans alike. His annual mix for EMM Group will also be coming out during the Holiday season, so there’s plenty to listen forward to.
It’s safe to say the success we wished Chachi years ago has materialized, cementing his position as one of America’s favorite performers.
